Nazifa Tabassum is a PhD Candidate

Today, Nazifa passed her qualifying exams. She is now officially a PhD candidate with a dual title in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Biosciences and Microbiome Sciences. Congratulations, Nazifa! We are so proud of you and all of your hard work this fall and cannot wait to see what you do with your thesis.
Eddie awarded an Interdisciplinary Innovation Fellowship

We are thrilled to announce that Eddie (also known as Pablo) has been awarded an Interdisciplinary Innovation Fellowship by the One Health Microbiome Center! His project is titled “Toward Elucidation of Immunoglobulin A (IgA)-Microbe Interactions in the Small Intestine.”

Grembi Lab’s First Field Visit – Bangladesh

This summer, PI Dr. Jessica Grembi and graduate student Nazifa Tabassum traveled to Bangladesh for the lab’s first field visit. Bangladesh is one of the study sites of the Experimental Medicine Platform, funded by the Gates Foundation, which tests microbial-directed interventions and their effects on biomarkers of Environmental Enteric Dysfunction (EED) in pregnant mothers in low- and middle-income countries.
